Privacy Policy

Overview
Dots: A Lifestyle Journal is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your journal data stays on your device. We collect minimal information and never sell or share your personal data with third parties.
App Data
All journal entries, events, and personal data you create in Dots are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is encrypted and synced through your personal iCloud account — we never have access to this data.
Analytics
We collect anonymized, non-identifying usage analytics to help improve the app. This data includes general usage patterns and feature adoption, but never includes your journal content or personal information. Analytics are opt-out — you can disable them in the app settings at any time.
Crash Reports
To help us fix bugs and improve stability, the app may collect crash reports when errors occur. These reports contain technical information about the crash but never include your journal content. Crash reports are opt-out — you can disable them in the app settings.
Website & Newsletter
Our website collects your email address only if you choose to sign up for our newsletter. This is completely optional and opt-in. We use Buttondown to manage our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your journal data never leaves your device (or your iCloud account if you enable sync).
